Let’s eat better and cheaper in Milano

Let’s eat better and cheaper in Milano
I like to eat and I need to eat a lot. Also I need good foods to be healthy. It means it costs a lot of money so I needed to find how to find good foods with lower costs. In this time, I will show some places for that.
As a criterion, I use a mortadella ham. This is the most economical meat we can get in Milano and this is from Italy so it is a very local food. We can feel like we are in Italy.
Penny market
We can buy almost all foods more economically than other places. Especially, 500g of mozzarella is the lowest price here. It costs like 2 euros when I saw before. Olive oil and tomato souse are good prices too. 700g of Mortadella ham is 2.4 euros. There are a lot in Milano so it is easy to find and their location is near transportation so it is covenient.
In’s Merucato
This is my favorite supermarket. There are more reasonable foods than Penny market. For example, 1kg of pasta is 0.59 euros, 500g of tomato souse is 0.35 euros and 2kg of Indian rice is 1.79 euros. They are cheaper than penny market. Cut vegetable are like 1 euro for 300g. Unfortunately, mozzarella and mortadella ham are not the lowest price here. Penny market wins in this case but still we can get with lower prices. The problem is that they do not have so many in Milan comparing to Penny market and they are sometimes not so convenient to visit.
Esselunga
This is one of the most expensive supermarket but we can get mortadella hams with the lowest price. 700g of mortadella ham is 2.18 euros. In Italy, Nutella is very famous paste for bread and so on but the real one is quite expensive. Esselunga provides us cheaper prices because they have their own Nutella bland. To buy these two foods, Esselunga is great.
Merucato
Those supermarkets are really good places but if we want to buy vegetables and fruits in the lowest costs, they are not the best ones. The bests places are morning market. This is called Merucato in Italian.
This is the URL to find a place everyday.
I ignored the security warning but no problems.
Prices are different by shops in markets so I show you the criteria.
For example, if 1kg of peperoni, zucchini, and broccoli are around 1euro, that is the most reasonable place. If we look carefully, we can get good quality foods with lowest costs. We just need to pay more attention to foods they have.
The next is how to buy.
Usually, there are two ways. The ones is to put vegetables by ourselves to plastic bags they give to us. The other way is to ask a person on the shop and let him pick vegetables we want. If it is clouded, we are more tend to do in the first one. Also people there are not trying to wait in line so please pay attention to it.
I like to go there because we can find vegetables and fruits we cannot find in supermarkets. The foods change by seasons so it in interesting to see the transition. We can find not only foods but also clothes and other daily products cheaper. It is nice just to walk around the pleces.
